2020 Overall Rankings: The Top

As this is the first year there are no changes for ranks. *INS = Insufficient Data

The Breakdown:

White: 9%          Gold: 4%

Blue: 21%          Colourless: 11%

Black: 12%        Land: 19%

Red: 12%

Green: 12%

Pleasant Surprises: Black, Red, and Green are all equally represented in the the top 120 cards in the cube. Green is considered one of the weaker colours in cube and Red is often open if nobody is playing aggro so I expected to see less representation in the top but it is nice to know that these colours have their share of role players in the list.

DisappointmentsWhite has high variance. While White has some of the highest ranked cards in the cube, it also is also the least represented in the top. Blue continues to be Magic's favourite colour holding spots in nearly half of the top 20 cards of the list.

2020 Overall Rankings: The Middle

As this is the first year there are no changes for ranks. *INS = Insufficient Data

The Breakdown:

White: 22%        Gold: 8%

Blue: 11%          Colourless: 6%

Black: 13%        Land: 8%

Red: 14%

Green: 18%

Pleasant Surprises: While White was the least represented in the top 120 I am happy to see that it dominates the mid-value card range meaning that the white section while less powerful overall makes up for that with consistency.

DisappointmentsI was hoping that there would be more Gold cards in the mid-value card range but it seems like the multicoloured casting costs are still prohibitive compared to the given power of the cards overall.

2020 Overall Rankings: The Bottom

As this is the first year there are no changes for ranks. *INS = Insufficient Data

The Breakdown:

White: 10%        Gold: 12%

Blue: 10%          Colourless: 8%

Black: 18%        Land: 15%

Red: 15%

Green: 12%

Pleasant Surprises: While lands make up 15% of the bottom, 14 of those 17 cards are only in the bottom due to insufficient testing, which means that there are only 3 lands that aren't pulling their weight. Very happy that almost all the lands in my cube are playing important roles.

DisappointmentsBlack is almost single handedly pulled down by the reanimator archetype. Nearly half of the black cards with sufficient data in the bottom are cards that are directly tied to the archetype. I personally enjoy this archetype but I wonder how Black's stats would change with the removal of reanimator.
