2020 Gold Rankings

As this is the first year there are no changes for ranks. *INS = Insufficient Data

As Expected: 2-for-1's are the name of the game for multicoloured cards. Removing a threat from your opponent and either drawing a card or adding to your own board presence at the same time is the value needed to justify including a gold mana cost. Esper has these cards in spades, making up the top 3.

Pleasant Surprises: I don't have too much to say other than it is nice to change out a lot of stale cards (Dack's Duplicate, Aurelia, Exemplar of Justice, Electorlyze, etc.) and get some truly exciting cards to test in Ikoria. I will have to see how the Companion mechanic fairs in my list with the addition of Lutri and Lurrus.

Disappointments: Golgari and Boros continue to be outclassed by cards that offer similar effects that don't require jumping through the hoops of multicoloured costs.
