2022Â Overall Rankings: The Top
The Breakdown:
White: 11% Gold: 4%
Blue: 14% Colourless: 5%
Black: 9% Land: 29%
Red: 13%
Green: 14%

Pleasant Surprises: If you told me that Green would have the same amount of cards in the top 120 as Blue I would not have believed you. Green has had a resurgence this past year getting so many great cards in Esika's Chariot, Questing Beast, Once Upon a Time, Abundant Harvest, Ignoble Hierarch, the list goes on.

Disappointments: White and Black have fallen off a bit but at least White still has some premium cards. Black's top card doesn't show up until 30th on the list with Vampiric Tutor. Hopefully I can rework this for better balance this coming year and give black a power bump. Time for Mind Twist?

2022Â Overall Rankings: The Middle
The Breakdown:
White: 15% Gold: 5%
Blue: 17% Colourless: 10%
Black: 12% Land: 6%
Red: 18%
Green: 18%

Pleasant Surprises: As noted in the Red section review, there seems to be a shift in Red decks using higher cmc cards. Goblin Guide fell pretty far this year, partially due to Ragavan becoming the new best red 1 drop, and lots of the other 1 and 2 cmc red creatures followed a similar trajectory. Red cards that shot up this year include Glorybringer, Embercleave and even Hellrider.

Disappointments: Not only is Black the lowest represented in the top, it is also the lowest represented color in the bottom. Definitely need to do some tweaking to balance this a bit better.

2022 Overall Rankings: The Bottom
The Breakdown:
White: 15% Gold: 19%
Blue: 10% Colourless: 11%
Black: 21% Land: 6%
Red: 10%
Green: 10%

Pleasant Surprises: Gruul decks seem to have gotten a bit of a bump with Taiga, Stomping Ground, and Bloodbraid Elf all making significant climbs.

Disappointments: The biggest disappointment this year is all the cards I haven't gotten to test. Really hoping XMage can get it together but the main developer is based in Russia and things have kind of gotten unpredictable.
